Next you will need to install the wax gasket. Turn the bowl upside down on a cushioned surface. Place the new wax gasket over the toilet horn on the bottom of the bowl. Apply plumbers putty to the bottom edge of the bowl.
Remove the rags from the drain pipe. Gently lower the bowl in place atop the flange using the bolts as guides. Press down firmly then twist slightly to secure. Checking with a level, straighten the bowl and use ships if needed to level. Hand tighten the washers and nuts onto the bolts.
To attach the tank you need to fit the rubber gasket onto the flush valve opening on the bottom of the tank. Place the rubber tank cushion on the rear of the bowl. Position the tank over the bowl and tighten the nuts and washers onto the mounting bolts.
Use an adjustable wrench to snug up the hold down nuts at the base of the bowl. Make sure the bowl is still level then fill the caps with plumbers putty and place them over the bolt ends. Use caulking compound to seal the base of the toilet bowl to the floor.
Lastly you will need to hook up the water supply. If your water supply comes out from the wall and the new tank is lower than the original, install an elbow fitting on the end. And finally
